Police Promotion

Here at Executive Guidance we have helped Police Officers to progress within their chosen career with both promotion exam courses and structured interview workshops for many years.

Before retirement at completion of service, Phil Waters, had helped hundreds of officers from his own force, Surrey Constabulary, get through both Part 1 and Part 2.  immediately prior to his retirement Phil was Career development Officer, a role that dovetailed perfectly with the time he spent working with National Police Training at Harrogate.

Since his retirement he has continued in this work running courses and developing study tools that have helped thousands of police officers to pass the exam and move their career forward.

 OSPRE Part 2

The College of Policing has announced that there will be no more OSPRE Part 2 examinations for English and Welsh Police Forces. However we will keep the information about Part 2 live on our web-site as an aid to those UK Police Forces still use it, for example the PSNI.  Our expert team are still available to help you progress in your Part 3, so if it is Part 2 that you need help with, we have over 10 years experience in helping Police Officers pass the assessment based exam.

We belive that here at Executive Guidance we are one of the last companies standing who have background and a successful heritage in training for Part 2 and so to continue our work, we will be offering ALL  the training we used to offer.

Our first involvement in OSPRE part 2 training was with the best provider of Part 2 training, OSPRE Promotions, the Milton Keynes company.  We worked in partnership with them delivering their training ‘south of the river’ for many years, before they were allowed by the new owner to close for business.  Since then we have continued to fly the flag for the principles and methods they promulgated to make them the most successful of all the companies offering Part 2 training.

We offer the same package, use the same staff, and if we need to use new people we train them using the same methods as OSPRE Promotions did. That way we can make sure you get the best training we can offer.

What they said about our Police Development Courses

Surrey Police OSPRE Part 2 candidate.

The Pt2 Sgts exam marks are out and I'm pleased to report that I passed!! Shimmied through with 50 (pass mark being 45) - but I'm never looking back!

Thank you for all your help and support, I can guarantee that I wouldn't have been here without your assistance!

Dave, PC on Response, OSPRE Part 1 with Executive Guidance's help he has successfully passed his Sergeant to Inspector Part 2 now working towards Part 2 (Dave passed Part 2 as well with our help)

Working with Phil has been fantastic in bringing a methodical approach to my studies. Using structured lessons with regular knowledge checks, it really helped cement the information in front of me. Plus, knowing that it's a fairly flexible system to work around shifts, I was comfortable that I wasn't missing out!

Now, having helped me pass the OSPRE Part 1, I was thrilled that he offered me the opportunity to work towards the Part 2 and even happier that the same work ethic was brought forward.
It's a brilliant program and I've recommended a number of my colleagues for it!
Phil, Thanks again.
Custody Sergeant having passed OSPRE Part 1 with Executive Guidance's help he has successfully passed his Sergeant to Inspector Part 2

I used this Executive Guidance for my Inspector's Part II, as I had success first time around having used them in the sergeant's exam a few years earlier. Their style of coaching is excellent, and the Welcome Pack training was invaluable.

They teach you the rudiments of the Ospre toolbox and allow you to taper it your style, thus eliminating the "parrot fashion" approach to Ospre responses that are taught by some rival companies, and clearly picked up on in the exam.  I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Executive Guidance and Phil Waters for their help assisting me to achieve my goal of passing the Inspector's Part II exam this May.
